Still needs a little more cleaning needed but it's coming along just a question, What are the four Potentiometers at the back for? There's two in the centre and two on just two the left of the can.

Although I don't know 100% without the schematic,  I think the pots on the back are for setting the "record level" that'd make the most sense....   I doubt it's for bias of the tube, but it could be.

Thanks Vexorgtr, The two on the main unit were for Reverb and Direct I scrubbed them off when cleaning the unit ( Saw it on the original pic) the other two on the can are not known but  a friend said...

You may have to...  When one of these ends up here,  I (and my associate)  end up reading the schematic and figuring out what's going on....    it takes some detective work.

Hi Vexorgtr, When looking at Schematics for the montarbo Drums echo's not only did it go way over my non electronic mind but also there was nothing on the actually mechanics of the unit Drum Heads etc...

Ok, so I WAS right... the pot on the back is a RECORD STRENGTH pot.... Sounds like you are doing things the right way. 12AX7 type tubes are very easy to come by, and there's good current production...
